This is a full time position with varied shifts at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Shifts are 8 hours, generally 6am-2:30pm.

As part of the Scripps Health pharmacy team, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians provide a broad range of clinical services at our sites and work collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other health care team members to deliver high-quality, efficient services to patients and staff. Responsibilities include:
- Monthly environmental sampling
- Competency assessment for compounding personnel
- Training of new staff
- Training of EVS staff to clean the IV rooms
- Monitoring staff compliance with proper compounding technique
- Auditing for compliance with standard work and regulatory compliance
Experience/Specialized Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Certification/Registration:
- Current Pharmacy Technician License.
- Certification by a National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (CPhT) required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 2 years pharmacy technician experience.
Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
- 5 years inpatient experience preferred
- 2 years sterile compounding experience preferred
