The Construction Project Manager plays a pivotal role in driving construction projects from concept to completion, ensuring every detail aligns with budgets, schedules, and quality expectations. Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and deliverables. Oversee all phases of construction, from pre-construction to project close-out, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. - Team Leadership:
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Foster collaboration and accountability to achieve project goals efficiently. - Budget and Cost Management:
Monitor project expenses, enforce cost controls, and ensure strict adherence to approved budgets. Proactively identify cost-saving opportunities and manage financial risks. - Schedule Management:
Create and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and implement adjustments to meet milestones and deadlines. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure full compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and organizational policies across all project phases. - Problem Solving:
Anticipate challenges, resolve conflicts, and address delays or obstacles promptly to maintain project momentum and quality. - Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary liaison for clients, providing consistent updates, managing expectations, and building strong professional relationships. - Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to the highest quality standards and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Experience:
A minimum of 5–7 years of proven experience managing construction projects, with a track record of delivering high-quality results. - Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Buildertrend) and an in-depth understanding of construction processes, blueprints, and documentation. - Certifications:
PMP, CCM, or other relevant certifications are highly desirable but not required. - Leadership Abilities:
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams, make informed decisions, and inspire confidence. - Communication Excellence:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively to all stakeholders.
Position Requirements
- Location:
Based in Asheville, NC, with frequent travel to job sites across the region. - Schedule:
Full-time role with core hours of Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Flexibility may be required to accommodate project needs. - License/Certification:
A valid North Carolina Driver’s License is required.
