Overview
ScyTek Laboratories, Inc is looking for a full-time Quality Control Technician in our busy chemical blending facility. We manufacture a variety of reagents for the Pathology and Histology markets, including immunohistochemistry, routine and special stains, buffers, diluents, as well as contract reagent manufacturing. Duties
- Perform a variety of histology stains and procedures.
- Perform basic in-process quality checks (pH, visual, OD, etc.)
- Evaluation of results.
- Use of several computer programs routinely (Access, Excel, Label-View, etc.).
- Following detailed QC records and procedures.
- Helping with other projects as needed.
- Keeping work area clean and hazard-free.
- Keeping detailed written records of each batch tested.
- Some technical service (email, phone, etc.)
Qualifications
- Some experience or college in biological or chemical sciences.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Enthusiastic, Self-Starter.
- Ability to work alone, or in groups as needed.
- Solid computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to take instructions and work well with others.
- Pleasant and positive demeanor.
- Familiarity with microscopy.
- Previous experience is helpful, but not required. We will train the right person.
Hours are 8:00 to 5:00pm or 7:00-4:00pm with one hour for lunch, with some potential for flexible start and stop times.
- Health after 60 days and Dental after 90 days, 401K begins January 1 of the year following hire.
