Responsibilities
- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities: Develop and implement strategies to expand the customer base within the roofing polymers market, focusing on identifying and capturing new accounts.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential markets for recycling and processing of polymers, fiberglass and polyester nonwovens in the roofing industry.
- Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan, setting targets for revenue and market penetration, and ensuring those targets are met.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with Operations, Plant Management and Inventory/Logistics teams to align business development efforts with production capabilities and customer needs.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations for new contracts and ensure favorable terms for the company while maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Industry Networking: Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to establish connections, promote products, and stay informed about market developments.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and business development progress to the Managing Director.
Other Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business or a related field.
- Must have 5 years of sales experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably on a small team.
- Knowledge of roll converting, plastics or rubber is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to cold call, present and close deals.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, stay organized and meet goals
- Bilingual in Spanish, is a plus.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working within a manufacturing plant environment.
- Onsite for first 90 – 120 days, potential to transition to a hybrid schedule when not traveling.
Environmental
· Ability to sit at a computer for 8 hours or more per day
· Ability to travel locally up to 25% of the time as needed
· Ability to work in an onsite environment as needed
