The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects on behalf of the Contractor. This role requires a deep understanding of contract terms, project management principles, and building maintenance operations.
The Assistant Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects on behalf of the Contractor. This role requires a deep understanding of contract terms, project management principles, and building maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Lead Facility Manager: Provide direct support to the Lead Facility Manager in all project activities, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Contract Compliance: Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Risk Management: Assist the Supervisory Contract Project Manager in identifying and mitigating potential risks and challenges that may impact project success.
- Subcontractor Management: Assist in overseeing the performance of subcontractors and ensuring they meet contractual obligations.
- Safety Management: Contribute to the implementation and enforcement of safety protocols.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with project team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Problem-Solving: Assist in identifying and resolving project issues.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of O&M/Facilities Management experience, with at least 5 years in a project management/supervisory role.
- Expertise: Proven experience in managing building mechanical maintenance operations for buildings of similar size, complexity, and characteristics.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction practices, building systems, and contract law.
