Operate one or several types of power construction equipment, such as graders, bulldozers, skid steers, scrapers, excavators, rollers, off-road dump trucks or front-end loaders to excavate, move, and grade earth, erect structures, demo and install sewer and drainage structure and/or associated piping, for and/or place concrete or other hard surface pavement. May repair and maintain equipment in addition to other duties. Must understand reading grade. Minimum 5 years’ experience required. GPS experience a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tractors, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, skid steers, rollers, to perform such tasks as clearing land, trimming backfills, building roadways or parking lots, removing, and installing drainage and sewer structures, removing, and installing water, sewer, and drainage pipes, constructing asphalt and gravel roads and parking areas, installing prefabricated drainage end treatments, finish grading, and sodding and seeding.
- Lead and direct small crews in a fast-paced environment
- Operates heavy equipment in compliance with the company operating safety policies and procedures.
- Conducts routine equipment inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment; maintains accurate records.
- Moves and positions raw materials and finished components with use of material moving equipment.
- Follow appropriate standard operating procedures as guidelines for operating and maintaining vehicle.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Will be part of a team that will be required to move from job site to job site on an as needed basis.
- Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, based on approved dig permit.
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
- Repair and maintain equipment, make emergency adjustments or assist with major repairs as necessary.
- Operate loaders to pull out stumps, rip asphalt or concrete, rough-grade/fine-grade properties, bury refuse, or perform general cleanup.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Must understand reading grade.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- 18 year or older
