If so, Dakota State University invites you to apply for the position of Assessment Coordinator within The Beacom College of Computer & Cyber Sciences.About The Beacom College of Computer & Cyber SciencesThe Beacom College of Computer and Cyber Sciences currently offers five undergraduate programs, including Computer Science, Cyber Operations, Network and Security Administration, Artificial Intelligence, and Computer Game Design. Two master programs, including a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) with specializations in Cyber Operations and Artificial Intelligence and a Master of Science in Cyber Defense (MSCD). The Beacom College also offers three doctoral programs, including Ph.D. in Computer Science, Ph.D. in Cyber Operations, and Ph.D. in Cyber Defense. The Beacom College is the largest college at DSU with more than 1,200 students including both undergraduate and graduate students.Position Overview:As Assessment Coordinator for the College, you will play a pivotal role in achieving and maintaining accreditation. You will collaborate closely with the college dean, program coordinators and Beacom faculty members to create and implement ABET, CAE, and program assessment plans. Your responsibilities will include collecting and analyzing data and preparing comprehensive reports for submission, ensuring our programs remain in compliance with accreditation criteria.Key Responsibilities:Support the College Dean in creation, maintenance, and dissemination of the ABET, CAE, and program assessment plans.Collect, organize, and analyze assessment data to evaluate student outcomes and program effectiveness.Prepare accurate and timely reports for submission to ABET and other relevant accreditation bodies.Collaborate with faculty to facilitate ongoing assessment activities and maintain a culture of continuous improvement.Conduct training sessions and workshops for faculty to ensure a thorough understanding of accreditation requirements and assessment processes.Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain documentation and evidence of compliance.Stay up to date with changes in accreditation criteria and assessment best practices.Qualifications:A bachelor’s degree is required, a bachelor’s degree in curriculum and assessment, project management or similar field is preferred.Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards.Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present data effectively.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse stakeholders.Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Advanced ability with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel).Commitment to strict confidentiality of data.Previous experience working in higher education is preferred.Benefits:Flexible benefits package – including paid time off, health and retirement benefitsLife and disability insurance optionsReduced tuition, longevity pay and training opportunitiesProfessional liability coverageInformation about DSU:Dakota State University is a special focus STEM university with an emphasis in computing information technologies and cyber security across all areas of human endeavor.
