Black Hills State University is seeking applicants to fill an Assessment & Field Placement Coordinator in the School of Education.Duties: The Assessment & Field Placement Coordinator leads the analysis and reporting of program assessment data and leads the accreditation process (national and state level accreditation). In addition, the coordinator establishes and maintains quality observation and field placements for students within the BHSU School of Education. The Assessment portion of this position is critical to ensuring the BHSU School of Education maintains national CAEP accreditation in addition to submitting yearly program assessment reports to the South Dakota Department of Education. The Field Placement portion of this position ensures an effective and efficient system for quality placements. The position serves as the liaison among the students, faculty, and external educational institutions for all in area and out of area/state placements. Minimum Qualifications:• Master’s degree in education• Minimum of 5 years K-12 and/or higher education teaching experience• Experience with educational assessment (including data collection and analysis) Required Skills• Strong oral and written communication • Ability to handle multiple projects with overlapping deadlines• Strong organization skills• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively Comments: This is a 10-month position.
