Counselor Student Health Clinic and Counseling ServicesSouth Dakota State University South Dakota State University (SDSU) Student Health Clinic and Counseling Services is offering an exciting career opportunity as a Counselor. This is a 12-month, 100% time, benefit eligible position. This position is supervised by the Assistant Director – Counseling. This position consists of varying hours Monday through Friday, depending on the programs’ and student needs, with rotating evening, weekends, and holiday on-call hours. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Master’s Degree in counseling or a closely related field completed by first day of employment; Effective written communication skills;Effective verbal communication and interpersonal skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:South Dakota Licensure as LPC, LPC-MH, LMFT, MSW, or CCDC III;Demonstrated experience managing after-hours-crisis;Demonstrated experience working in a university setting;Demonstrated experience providing educational training regarding mental health;Demonstrated experience in facilitating group counseling;Demonstrated ability to work as a contributing team member.BENEFITS:South Dakota State University offers a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, and flexible benefits, retirement plans, compensation packages, paid holidays, and vacation leave.
