The Agriculture Shared Service Center within the Division of Finance and Business is growing! We are seeking a Finance Assistant who is a skilled relationship builder who will provide timely and professional services that support and enhance the goals of the units served. Communication and organizational skills are highly desired.Job Responsibilities: To work with unit leadership to perform fiscal analysis, accounting, and budgeting of business activities for assigned units with an emphasis in excellent customer service. The Financial Program Assistant will provide timely and professional services that will support or enhance the instructional, research, and service goals of the units served. This position will have direct oversight regarding the budgeting/reporting needs of the unit as needed. This individual will be expected to maintain successful relationships and frequent communication with unit leadership from academic, research or service units.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of:Budget and reporting practices.Finance and accounting practicesComputer software applications and systems (Word, Excel, Outlook)Skill & Ability to: Interpret, comprehend, and apply laws, rules and regulations for institution, state, federal and a variety of funding agencies.Research, compile and analyze data.Provide high level of accuracy with attention to detail.Prioritize projects to meet competing deadlines.Maintain effective working relationships.Communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately.Comments: This position is classified as a Financial Program Assistant.
