The Department of Industrial Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology invites applications for a temporary part-time Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer to teach the Fall 2023 and/or Spring 2024 semester. The successful applicant must have a master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field. Preference will be given to those with an earned doctorate in Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field, and relevant teaching experience. Applicants with expertise in any area of Industrial Engineering or Engineering Management will be considered.Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited position. The position may continue semester-by-semester, dependent upon department need, student enrollment, performance, and availability of funding.The Industrial Engineering program has approximately 140 undergraduate students and 50 graduate students in the Engineering Management program.South Dakota Mines is a best-in-class STEM university that offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees located in Rapid City, the state’s second largest city with a MSA population of 148,933.
