Primary Purpose
The Design & Project Management (DPM) Policy Advisor provides guidance related to Rule 2, Rule 15, Rule 16, Rule 20, and Rule 45 to DPM staff in Segment 1, Segment 2, and Segment 3 projects. The DPM Policy Advisor also leads and/or provides input for data requests, workshops, comments, and related CPUC proceedings (including but not limited to: Rule 2, Rule 15, Rule 16, Rule 20, and Rule 45).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides policy guidance to Segment 1, 2, and 3 DPM staff, as well as providing input to other internal & external stakeholders, the Joint Investor-owned utilities, etc.
  • Researches and implements policies in compliance with CPUC regulations, Law, and SDG&E policy.
  • Prepares regulatory filings, annual reports and other materials. Responsibilities include composition of written comments as required, and involvement in development of policy-related data request responses and writing of testimony.
  • Manages compliance with Rule 2, Rule 15, Rule 16, Rule 20, and Rule 45.
  • Regularly represents company interests and positions related to Rule 2, Rule 15, Rule 16, Rule 20, and Rule 45. Leads collaborative efforts with regulatory authorities, contractors, key stakeholders, company departments and other utility counterparts relative to policy concerns/issues.
  • Responsible for developing and managing the compliance policy deliverables relative to DPM.
  • Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Planning, Public Policy, Project Management or related area or equivalent experience Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred

Experience

  • 4 years - related policy or project management experience. Required

Skills and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of DPM processes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of policy and project management principles.
  • Ability to establish and foster relationships, as well as influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage complex data/information and synthesize the information for dissemination to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to develop comments, data request responses, presentations, and represent SDG&E in various internal and external forums.
  • Ability to understand company objectives, as well as related actions and activities ,e.g. laws, codes, resolutions, and decisions.

Pay: From $99,000.00 per year
