Director, Accounting & Finance Operations
Global private equity firm is hiring a Director of Accounting & Finance Operations. Ideal candidates will have 15 years management company accounting experience out of the financial services industry.
The team is doing a hybrid schedule 3 days/week in the downtown Boston office and offers excellent total compensation including generous bonus, 401k contributions, profit sharing, and comprehensive benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the US Controller to ensure accurate and timely reporting for global and US operations.
- Supervise teams responsible for accounts payable, select receivables, and expense processing.
- Lead efforts in operational reporting, analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drive initiatives to enhance systems and transform reporting processes.
- Work with compliance, audit, tax, and business teams to support operational functions.
- Oversee cash flow, balance sheet reporting, and expense allocations.
- Ensure corporate finance policies and controls are implemented and maintained.
- Support external audits, tax filings, and covenant compliance.
- Provide financial analysis for business units and departments.
- Manage ad hoc projects and promote best practices across teams.
Qualifications:
- CPA preferred
- 15 years of experience
- Experience in public accounting (Big 4 / large regional firms)
- Corporate accounting or management company accounting experience out of financial services
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Ability to drive process improvements and work efficiently in a high-volume environment
