What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP, Accounting position at SDL Search Partners?
Exciting, newly created, confidential VP of Finance & Accounting opening, with a well-established, growing, medical device company North of Boston.
This role will be the right-hand to the CFO, will own all Accounting operations, implement internal controls, streamline accounting functions, and build credibility for the finance function through strategic business partnering throughout the organization. Additionally, the VP will lead M&A integration, and eventually manage the FP&A team as well.
Ideal candidates have 15 years, including a mix of public accounting, and corporate accounting at a leadership level. Role is heavy on the accounting side to start, focused on implementing best practices and leading a team of CPA's / accountants, including a Controller, but will eventually get more involved in leading the strategic finance side. Growth opportunity with potential succession planning to CFO seat.

Qualifications:
- 15 total years experience
- CPA required
- excellent process improvement experience
- strong internal controls understanding
- experience with POC accounting a plus but not required
- Dynamics 365 experience a plus but not required
- prior M&A integration experience a plus
- strong people development & leadership experience
- excellent business partnering skills, able to build strong relationships
- rock-solid accounting foundation with an interest in growth to FP&A side
