We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Front Desk Support in our optometry office. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Reception: Greet patients warmly upon arrival and check them in for appointments.
- Manage the check-out process, including scheduling follow-up visits and collecting payments.
- Appointment Scheduling: Answer phone calls and emails promptly and courteously. Taking detailed notes and messages as needed to pass along.
- Book, reschedule, or cancel appointments using our scheduling software.
- Ensure the schedule runs smoothly and is optimized for patient flow.
- Insurance Assistance: Verify patients’ vision insurance coverage prior to their appointment. Bill insurance for exams, contacts, and glasses
- Accurately record insurance details and answer basic questions regarding coverage.
- Administrative Tasks: Maintain and update patient records in the practice management system.
- Assist with filing, data entry, and preparing documents as needed.
- Assist with monitoring office supplies, making sure we have everything we need.
- Monitor office supplies and inform the team when restocking is necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide clear and professional communication to patients in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns, escalating issues to the appropriate staff member if needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical or optometry office is a plus, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with scheduling and patient management software is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused attitude.

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
