Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments of boat parts, materials, and supplies; verify accuracy against packing slips and purchase orders
- Inspect deliveries for damage, report discrepancies or issues to supervisors
- Log and track inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and loading finished boats and components
- Coordinate with freight carriers and logistics providers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shipping/receiving area
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
- Collaborate with production, quality control, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or marine environment
- Experience operating forklifts or the ability to obtain certification
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or basic computer/data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Experience in boat manufacturing or marine industry
- Knowledge of freight documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists)
- Understanding of inventory control principles
- Warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and occasional outdoor conditions
