Controller

As a Controller with Sea Island Land Development, you will play a crucial role in strategic financial planning, budget monitoring, variance identification and ensuring overall compliance with financial regulations. Primary Responsibilities 

• Direct, coordinate and supervise accounting and administrative services under the direction of the Chief Financial Officer 
• Perform forecasts, cost management, inventory control, and other financial reporting requirements
• Develop appropriate accounting analysis and reporting formats, policies and procedures and schedules to support the reporting and analysis process
• Oversee accounting functions such as accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Assume responsibility for tax planning, audit coordination and implementation of financial controls to safeguard company assets
• Performance of bank statement reconciliation and receipt collection
• Prepare and present narratives, graphs and other reports to support business reviews management and customer presentations
• Performance of start to completion construction accounting 

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification 
• Deep understanding and demonstrated history of job costing, percentage of completion accounting, gross profit within a construction/engineering environment
• Strong analytical, communication and leadership skills

Management Responsibilities

• While this position will have no direct reports, this position will serve as a subject matter and technical expert and provide mentorship and guidance to financial staff members
