Our program, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, emphasizes experiential learning and creative exploration to support children’s development in a warm and engaging environment.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Preschool Teachers to join our team and support the daily operations of the classroom. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about working with young children and eager to gain experience in early childhood education. No prior experience is required, but six months of childcare experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be reliable, nurturing, and excited to contribute to a collaborative classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing lesson plans and maintaining a warm, engaging, and organized classroom environment.
- Child Interaction: Foster positive relationships with children, supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Daily Routines: Help manage daily activities such as circle time, art projects, outdoor play, and mealtimes.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Ensure the classroom remains a safe, clean, and welcoming space for children and staff.
- Supervision: Actively supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being during all activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to meet the needs of the children and support the overall classroom dynamic.
- Parent Interaction: Assist in maintaining positive communication with families and supporting a strong school-home connection.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- No prior experience required; however, six months of childcare experience is preferred.
- A positive, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a passion for working with young children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and walk up to 3 miles a day pushing a child buggy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27,040.00 - $46,904.00 per year
