Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Provide individualized attention to each child, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Monitor children's progress and maintain accurate records of their development and achievements.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Organize classroom materials and maintain a clean, orderly environment conducive to learning.
Skills
- Experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is essential.
- Strong knowledge of toddler care, infant care, and early childhood education principles.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
