What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Governance Specialist position at Seaboard Corporation?
As a key member of the Seaboard Foods team, you will play a critical role in establishing and implementing policies, standards, and procedures to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive organizational data. This includes performing ongoing management and support of a data classification and labeling solution, as well as protecting organizational data from theft, loss, or unauthorized disclosure.
About the Role
This position requires strong analytical thinking, critical thinking, time management, communication/collaboration, and process-oriented skills with a detailed understanding of data governance principles. You will regularly interact with internal data governance stakeholders, including business and technology personnel, to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and establish data governance best practices across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in data governance, data management, or related roles, along with a strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, data privacy, and regulatory compliance. A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Data Management, Cybersecurity, or other equivalent experience is preferred.
