SUMMARY: The Process Technician I is responsible for safely operating plant process equipment, providing leadership in all aspects of plant operation. They produce budgeted amounts of product efficiently and cost-effectively, in compliance with environmental laws.

- Oversee biodiesel production startup, operation, and shutdown.
- Follow product run sheets and troubleshoot issues offering solutions and daily reports to management.
- Perform monitoring and prescribed checks of operating equipment.
- Maintain records and logs of activities and operating conditions.
- Report changes in machine measures and performance.
- Provide leadership in professionalism and ethics.
- Maintain clean work areas after each job or task.
- Recognize & communicate the need for work orders and follow up with maintenance.
- Cross-train in all operating areas with other operators and supervisors.
- Support QSH&E goals and objectives, and ongoing improvement plans and activities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1 years' experience in a chemical or petrochemical environment preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and work orders in English using basic Microsoft tools.
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from managers.
