Your Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Casings Supervisor to oversee the production, quality control, and safety of casings used in sausage and other meat products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with production teams, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain efficient operations. This hands-on supervisory role will involve managing over 30 employees, coordinating line activities and tasks, improving product yields and efficiencies, workflow optimization, and staffing deployment.

Responsibilities
- Meet throughput targets on the casings line while maintaining quality and yield standards.
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
- Ensure product quality, specifications, and yields meet company standards.
- Analyze line processes and equipment to produce high-quality products consistently.
- Utilize daily data to impact and maximize performance.
- Set up and maintain production lines and equipment daily.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of key performance indicators and their impact on operations.
- Ensure daily production schedules are met.
- Complete understanding of product specifications and methods used to meet specifications.
- Monitor work schedules to ensure accurate manning and timekeeping.
- Supervise all employees, directing work and ensuring team members are trained and qualified.
- Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures regarding product quality, food safety, and workplace safety.

Qualifications
- PREFERRED: College degree in an engineering field or more than four (4) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including ability to communicate with team members and regulatory agencies.
- Experience with AS400, Kronos, ADP eTime, and Carlisle systems preferred but not required.
- REQUIRED: High school education and four (4) years of management/management support in a food manufacturing facility.
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel.
Work Environment

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility.
- The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Primarily an office environment with some need to work in the field.
- The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
