Under the direction of the Nursery Farm Supervisor, this Assistant Multi-site Nursery Farm Specialist will be responsible for attending to and caring for swine. They will also assist in supervising employees in the nursery or finisher department, ensuring high herd health and adherence to biosecurity protocols.

QUALIFICATIONS Required:
SCHEDULE: The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is commonly exposed to airborne particles and gases at low concentrations. The employee is frequently exposed to waste material, feed, and hog dust.

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
- Ensure standard operating procedures are being followed, and facilities are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records and reports of animals, employees, and supplies on the farm.
- Assist in training employees on day-to-day processes and procedures to develop a competent workforce.
- Supervise and schedule groups of employees, acting as manager when the supervisor is not present.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and follow assigned medication and vaccination protocols.
- Maintain the alarm system and emergency systems, answering alarm calls properly.

QUALIFICATIONS Required:
- Associate degree (A.A) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be proficient in English language, reading and writing.
