Job Description
We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to became a part of our team! You will assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of the Chief Pharmacist. Services will be performed in the Health Services Department at Federal Correctional Institution Tallahassee, 501 Capital Circle NE, Tallahassee, FL 32301.
Responsibilities:
The Pharmacy Technician will work Mon-Fri (except Federal Holidays) between the hours of 7:30 am to 4 pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day.
Pay & Benefits:
$17.20 per hour, plus an additional $4.57 per hour for Health & Wellness. Think of it as $21.77 per hour. Earn up to 56 hours per year for Sick Leave with 11 paid Federal holidays per year, and up to 2 weeks of vacation after one year of service. Medical, Dental, Vision and Disability Insurance available.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
- Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
- Process prescriptions using computer software
- Label and record dosage information
- Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
- Previous experience in pharmacy or other related medical fields
- Must possess a current, and unrestricted State Pharmacy Technician license and be certified through PTCB
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- CPR Certification
- Valid Driver's license
- Current Pharmacy Technician license and be certified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
