Job Summary:

Seabrook is looking for a detail-oriented and innovative HR Operations Specialist to join our team and contribute to our mission. The HR Operations Specialist will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day HR functions with a primary focus on managing, streamlining, and improving current processes. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to lead projects and initiatives assigned by the Director of Business & People. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR operations, a passion for process improvement, and the skills to drive efficiency and effectiveness in HR practices. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

  • Operate the day-to-day HR functions, ensuring smooth and efficient HR service delivery across the organization.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to payroll, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
  • Provide guidance, and support to the HR and Management teams fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, and professional certification.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, including but not limited to EEO, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Oversee the employee onboarding process to ensure a positive and seamless experience for new hires.
  • Manage and optimize HR systems and tools, ensuring they are utilized effectively to support HR operations and data management.
  • Support and advise on employee relations issues, providing guidance and ensuring fair and consistent application of policies.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient understanding of HR practices, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administrations, or a related field.
  • Experience in the hospitality or construction industry.
  • Knowledgeable with Google Workspace and HRIS software, ADP experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English preferred.
  • All candidates must pass a background check prior to employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Indoor/outdoor environment subject to changing conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and walk moderate distances.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Hourly Rate: $24-$27
