JOB SUMMARY
Join the team of people at ITB, serving as the Quality Supervisor. Improve and develop a quality management system ensuring quality remains a top priority. Promote a safe and productive work environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, and products to identify any deviations from the specifications
- Developing and implementing quality control systems, processes and policies
- Maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting all instrumentation and equipment related to quality control
- Preparing and maintaining documentation and reports on quality issues, statistical reviews and relevant quality documentation
- To monitor non-conforming deviations, report follow-up procedures, and report monthly and year-to-date comparisons
- Responsible for knowing current QA regulations and informing the operations manager of any new and/or revised regulations imposed
- Reviews testing, quality control, and other testing reports for accuracy, completeness and compliance to requirements to ensure that quality assurance standards and regulatory requirements are met
- Maintains current and accurate records of all relevant communications, audits, corrective action plans, and effectiveness monitoring
- Recommending improvements to the production process to ensure quality control
- Evaluating the final output of products to determine their reliability and reject unsatisfactory products
- Working with production teams to establish quality requirements at raw material stage, during production, and on final products
- Training and guiding staff on new standards, procedures and processes
- Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner
- Ensure all received materials conform to counterfeit prevention program requirements
- Promote a safe work environment and adhere to all safety rules
- Serve as a member of various employee and organizational committees. (i.e. Safety Committee)
- Arrivals at work, meetings, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled
- Perform other duties as assigned
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
- Devise and review specifications for products or processes
- Set requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Inspect products and processes at different stages of production to ensure adherence to established quality standards
- Record and analyze quality data and produce statistical reports
- Use relevant quality tools and make sure managers and other staff understand how to improve the business
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure consistency and resolve any discrepancies in product quality
- Identify training needs and organize training interventions to meet quality standards
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a quality control specialist or relevant role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of methodologies of ISO 9001 quality assurance and standards
- Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
- Ability to identify problems and initiate corrective/preventive action
- Customer oriented and service minded
- Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
- Outstanding communication skills
- Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach
- Certifications of quality control are a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
- Ability to be flexible and prioritize duties
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- A valid driver’s license
PERIPHERAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Automotive understanding
- Proficient with Metric and English units of length.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office and Manufacturing Shop environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts.
EQUIPIMENT/MACHINERY USED
Ability or willingness to learn to operate a Forklift and other material handling equipment. When necessary, assist with duties on the shop floor.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lifting up to 30lbs regularly and 60lbs occasionally; pushing, pulling, standing for long periods of time; manual dexterity and visual acuity.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
