Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for children. You will develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, provide individualized attention to each child, and promote their social, emotional, and intellectual development.
Duties:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum objectives
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment for children
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall learning experience
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of literacy education, toddler care, behavior management, and special education is an asset
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum materials
- Understanding of child welfare principles and practices
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Valid teaching certification or license (if applicable)
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass a background check
