About Us: We are a leading marine upholstery and canvas company dedicated to providing high-quality custom upholstery and canvas solutions for boat owners and enthusiasts. With a strong reputation for excellence and a commitment to customer satisfaction, we are seeking a Administrative Assistant to join our team. The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and professional experience for our customers. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including answering phone calls, and efficiently collecting and inputting customer information into our database. While boating knowledge is preferred, it is not required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Front Desk Reception:
- Greet and assist customers and visitors in a professional, friendly manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about our marine upholstery and canvas services.
- Collect customer details, project requirements, and input accurate data into our CRM system.
Administrative & Office Support:
- Assist with general office tasks such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Support scheduling, travel arrangements, and email management for owners.
- Manage customer payments on work orders and assist with accounting-related tasks.
- Order materials and supplies as needed for projects.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certifications a plus).
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or office administration preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Boating or marine industry knowledge is a plus but not required.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $18-$25/hour, based on experience.
- Training period: Part-time (~1 month) with a gradual increase in hours.
- Full-time transition: Mid-March (still hourly).
- Work schedule: Must be available Saturdays, with Mondays off.
