We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated intern to join our team at Seafield Center Inc. for the summer of 2025.
The primary function of this role is to provide supervised direct and indirect treatment to individuals who are chemically dependent, while also fulfilling requirements set forth by their educational institution.
The intern will be trained in group and individual counseling by 'shadowing' an assigned counselor and attending all group and individual supervision sessions as well as other staff meetings such as exchange meetings, in-service trainings, and orientations, monthly staff meetings, and case conference meeting.

Qualifications:
To be eligible for this internship, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program of social work, mental health counseling, psychology, or OASAS education program.

- Provide individual, group, and family counseling.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments.
- Design and implement treatment plans.
- Review client progress toward treatment plan goals.
- Prepare progress reports.
- Deliver lectures, seminars, or workshops.
- Contact referral sources.
- Participate in case conferences for development and review of treatment plans.
- Attend weekly supervision sessions.
- Participate in staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
