Job Purpose The End Welder shall operate in the functions of welding metal slitted material in accordance with plant policies and procedures. He / she will ensure a safe and compliant operation during his / her shift. Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the setup and operation of mill entry, Flatteners, End Welder Machine and Accumulator.
- Responsible for cross weld quality
- Responsible for coil edge condition.
- Remove rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers.
- Operation Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Review work orders and specifications to determine materials needed to be processed.
- Handling and Moving Objects - Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
- Responsible for performing routine PM of equipment.
- Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
- Other duties as assigned.
