What are the responsibilities and job description for the OEM Account Manager - Pacific Northwest position at Seakeeper Inc?
WHAT YOULL DO
75% of Seakeepers are installed on new boats, with our boat builder (OEM) partners. As our OEM Account Manager covering the west coast of the U.S., youll get to bring the Seakeeper magic to new boat owners. By working closely with our OEMs, youll increase the number of boat models that offer Seakeeper as an option and help them to increase the option uptake. Youll build relationships with our existing OEM network and seek out OEM partners who have yet to integrate Seakeeper into their boats. Lastly, you will attend boat shows, fishing tournaments, and other marine related events to promote and influence Seakeeper customers. Youll support your accounts by:
- Managing existing relationships and developing new ones with target/assigned OEM accounts
- Increasing boat models offering Seakeeper as an option
- Driving uptake of the Seakeeper option by:
- Coaching OEMs on competitive option pricing and how to market/advertise Seakeeper on the OEMs website
- Educating and supporting OEM Dealers on Seakeeper Value Proposition
- Developing tailored reports and presentations to enhance engagement and decision-making
- Negotiating and finalizing annual pricing agreements
- Supporting introduction and integration of new products and features
- Creating co-op marketing plans and attending events to further promote the Seakeeper brand
- Interacting with your assigned OEMs dealer network to drive Seakeeper option uptake at the point of sale
- Working closely with assigned accounts on forecasting, production, and demand planning
- Occasionally addressing field issues and visiting vessels that require factory-level support for diagnosis, troubleshooting, documentation or data collection
- Tracking sales and new model integrations in NetSuite
- Managing and maintaining your accounts Sales, Engineering, Production, and Service contacts
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

MUST-HAVES
- 2 years of sales experience in the marine industry and/or similar field
- Bachelors degree in business administration, Marketing, or a similar related field
- Business development mindset
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Passion for the marine industry and working with people
- Be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible and well-organized
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Be self-motivated with superior time management, multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Be results-driven, a proven closer, and of unquestionable integrity
- Mechanical and Electrical technical knowledge
- Troubleshooting skillset
- Valid drivers license
- Ability to obtain a passport and be available for both domestic and international travel
- Strong command of Microsoft Office products
- Be based Pacific Northwest, preferably in Seattle area
MORE DETAILS YOULL WANT TO KNOW
- This is a remote position
- Your territory will cover assigned accounts in the following states/region: Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, and Midwest states
- Youll report to the Regional OEM Sales Manager, based in Maryland
- You can expect to travel including but not limited to overnight and weekends up to 70% of the time:
- Weekly account visits or events
- Monthly OEM Dealer Presentations
YOUR TEAM
Our OEM Account Manager is nestled within our sales department. Our department is comprised of team members in the field spread around the globe, half of which support the aftermarket side of our business, focusing on the Seakeeper Dealer network and refit installations, while the other half is targeting OEM accounts in different territories. Youll be able to have an immediate impact on your accounts and our business overall.
