Sealy & Company seeks a Regional Accountant to join our Shreveport or Dallas-based team.

The position's primary focus will be financial reporting for commercial real estate entities. This position is responsible for accounting functions such as accounts payable, budgeting, preparing reconciliations, budget variance analysis, expense accruals, tenant ledger maintenance, and other general financial reporting tasks.
Essential Job Functions
- Support non-accounting staff with accounts payable and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Gather relevant data to help coordinate annual budgets for corporate and real estate entities.
- Reconcile financial and operational activities monthly to ensure accurate reporting.
- Identify and accrue significant liabilities through communication with corporate and property management.
- Review tenant charges and receivables to ensure compliance with lease obligations.
- Analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy, working with superiors on necessary revisions.
- Research GAAP for proper transaction accounting and document findings.
- Facilitate information flow for annual audits and tax returns.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Up to 5 years of financial accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (primarily Excel).
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
