We are currently seeking a Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Gig Harbor, WA. This full-time position will be responsible for providing mental health assessments and treatment plans for patients in the Pierce County region.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics. A minimum of four years' experience in the field is required, along with an active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or mental health Associate License.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a caseload in compliance with agency requirements and productivity standards.
- Assist in ensuring agency compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and contracts.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures as directed by the Program Manager.
- Educate staff on health service referrals and psychoeducational topics.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient health services.
- Provide diagnostic assessments, communicate with primary care providers, and refer patients to psychiatric services when necessary.
- Develop treatment plans, monitor medication effects, and provide individual counseling and crisis stabilization as needed.
Requirements
- A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics.
- A minimum of four years' experience in the field, including clinical experience in the area of mental health.
- An active Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License or mental health Associate License.
- Active continuing education hours and licensing fees.
