Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant provides professional support across HR functions, including pre-employment screenings, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations. This role involves interacting with employees and departments, requiring strong communication skills to deliver customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain personnel records and HRIS systems for data integrity and accuracy
- Oversee the entire onboarding process for a smooth employee experience
- Manage pre-employment screenings, including background checks and drug screenings
- Provide clerical support to HR, including filing, mail distribution, and form creation
- Coordinate new hire orientation sessions and annual open enrollment
- Train new department staff and assist with process improvements
- Work closely with cross-functional departments and maintain open communication
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and suggest solutions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum one year of professional HR experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
Compensation:$45,000-$47,000
