Corporate Event Audio Visual Production Manager

Location : Portland, OR (could be remote DOE)

What Youll Do

  • Act as the primary planner, creative designer, and project manager for assigned events, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, providing inventive AV solutions that elevate their events.
  • Balance client satisfaction with company profitability by making smart, strategic decisions about labor, resources, and equipment.
  • Lead pre-production calls, ensuring seamless communication with clients and vendors.
  • Oversee all aspects of event technical functions, including scheduling labor, reserving and renting equipment, and leading on-site installation and troubleshooting.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients,vendors and stakeholders by being a dependable, proactive, and solutions-oriented leader.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and state / federal regulations.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including quotes, estimates, invoices, and expense reports to keep the work flowing in a timely manner.

What Were Looking For

  • An Entrepreneurial Mindset You take initiative, own your projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where adaptability is key.
  • 5 Years of Leadership Experience in the event industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Expertise Hands-on experience with lighting, audio, video, rigging, and staging for corporate events. Familiarity with CAD (Vectorworks preferred) is a plus.
  • Outstanding Project Management Skills The ability to juggle multiple events, deadlines, and stakeholders with precision and efficiency.
  • Excellent Communication You know how to engage with clients, vendors, and team members, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed.
  • Passion for Live Events You love the rush of making an event come together and thrive under pressure.
  • A Team Player You see the big picture and understand that short-term effort contributes to long-term company success.
  • Flexibility to Travel Ability to travel 30-40%, including air travel and overnight stays. A valid passport and commercial drivers license may be required.
