We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Office Staff member to join our scrap yard team. The ideal candidate will handle administrative tasks, customer service, and inventory management while ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires excellent organizational skills, communication abilities, and basic knowledge of office software.
**** This job requires a near perfect attendance record, there are only 2 employees daily. No need to apply if you require regular time off.
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 12p & 1pm - 4pm Saturday 8am-12pm (closed the first Saturday of each month)
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers, vendors, and drivers in a professional manner.
-Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services.
- Process weigh tickets, invoices, and payments accurately.
-Maintain and update records of inventory, purchases, and sales.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks, such as data entry and basic financial reporting.
- Coordinate with yard workers and management to facilitate efficient operations.
- Keep office space organized and stocked with necessary supplies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in an office or administrative role preferred.
-Strong computer skill.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of scrap yard operations is a plus but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
