Scope of Position
Runners serve as the backbone of our operation in maintaining and organized and orderly operations throughout the facility. They provide critical support to Housekeeping and impact turnover of rooms and revenue potential. You will support both Room Attendants and House Attendants in the completion of “heavy” work. Because the job impacts the guest’s perception of the hotel’s cleanliness, it directly impacts customer satisfaction. So, if you deliver personalized service consistently that includes clean and fresh accommodations and the “unexpected” in service, it will delight guests and develop loyalties to secure return visits to the hotel. This position reports to the manager for the floor section and/or the Office Coordinator.

Schedule flexibility required. Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business. Working evenings, weekends and holidays will be a regular part of this position.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and handle placing all incoming deliveries for the department in their appropriate storage areas.
- Provide detailed cleaning to public areas (back and front of the house)
- Maintain adequate supplies in housekeeping closets, cages, and service areas.
- Support housekeepers by delivering.
- Support room attendants in cleaning and turnover of guest rooms.
- Executing lost and found items following proper procedure.
- Handle emergency cleaning requests.
- Perform room cleaning and other deep cleaning procedures.
- Perform additional duties/projects that are assigned.
- Responsible for practicing, managing, and promoting our Purpose, Mission and Values so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation.
- Completes any duties and projects assigned by Department Head.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Effective verbal communications skills.
- Ability to lift up to 150 pounds and push up to 500 pounds.
- Ability to be mobile on feet for entire shift.
Experience:
- Must be able to work on own or part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience preferred
- Fluency of the English language is required (read, write, speak)
- Must be able to listen to, read and/or write instructions, memos, short correspondences, and messages.
