Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our client’s team. This role will take on direct engineering responsibilities in the early stages of process technology design, ensuring that solutions align with customer needs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, working with a small team to develop key process deliverables for foundational engineering design packages.
- Conduct process simulations to determine heat and material balances.
- Develop data sheets and equipment lists for process equipment.
- Create and refine Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).
- Assist in designing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Perform critical calculations, including line sizing, hydraulic assessments, and relief valve sizing.
- Draft comprehensive process descriptions.
- Supply process data to the Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical teams for instrument specification.
- Review work performed by junior engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Contribute to the development of start-up and operational manuals.
- Support unit start-ups and commissioning activities.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 3 to 15 years of hands-on process engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Direct involvement in start-up and commissioning within a gas plant setting.
- Strong foundation in chemical engineering principles.
- Experience with ASPEN, HYSYS, and/or SimSci process simulation software.
- Familiarity with cryogenic processing technologies, including air separation, natural gas liquefaction, hydrogen liquefaction, and helium processing.
- Knowledge of natural gas processing methods and related engineering standards.
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and technical explanations.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple engineering disciplines and customer teams.
- Preferred: EIT certification with a goal of obtaining a PE license.

Salary : $130,000 - $150,000
