The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging business and IT functions by gathering, analyzing, and managing requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Requirements Gathering: Develop subject matter expertise, analyze business needs, and provide technical direction for IT solutions and process improvements.
- Business Process Mapping: Collaborate with stakeholders to document and optimize business processes using BPMN 2.0 standards.
- Testing: Assist in test plan development, execute testing strategies, perform data analysis, and troubleshoot system defects.
- Vendor Selection: Lead requirements gathering sessions for RFP, RFQ, or RFI processes and support vendor selection and onboarding.
- Training: Provide training on business analysis methodologies, tools, and best practices, while maintaining documentation and frameworks.
- Other Duties: Support additional business analysis functions as required.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience:
- Strong background in IT business analysis, process improvement, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Experience managing internal teams, vendor relationships, and customer interactions.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- IIBA or PMI certification in Business Analysis.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Analytical and critical thinking for requirement gathering and problem-solving.
- Strong listening and technical writing skills.
- Ability to model requirements visually and align business analysis frameworks with project management deliverables.
- Travel: Up to 30% travel required.
