Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a 401K Manager on behalf of our client, a leading company in the discount tire industry. The 401K Manager will play a key role in managing the company's retirement plan offerings, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting employees' long-term financial security. Key Responsibilities :
Oversee the company's 401K plan to ensure it complies with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Manage the plan's administration, including enrollment, participant communications, and contributions.
Provide guidance and support to employees regarding their 401K options, investment choices, and retirement planning.
Conduct regular audits of the 401K plan to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare and file required reports with federal and state agencies, including Form 5500 and annual compliance testing.
Coordinate with external vendors, including investment managers, custodians, and third-party administrators, to ensure smooth operation of the 401K plan.
Monitor and assess the plan's investment options, ensuring they meet the needs of participants and align with the company's goals.
Lead employee education programs to improve retirement planning knowledge and increase participation in the 401K plan.
Work with HR and Finance teams to develop and execute strategies for plan enhancements and improvements.
Ensure that the company's 401K plan aligns with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding the 401K plan, providing clear and accurate information.
Review and reconcile 401K plan financial statements, working with auditors during the annual audit process. Requirements Include :
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. Experience :
At least 5 years of experience in 401K plan management or a similar role.
Experience with plan compliance, investment management, and regulatory reporting. Skills :
Strong knowledge of 401K regulations, ERISA compliance, and retirement plan administration.
Proficiency in 401K plan software and systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and advise employees effectively.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Certifications :
Certified Retirement Plan Professional (CRPS) or similar certification preferred.
Series 6 or 63 certifications a plus. Knowledge :
In-depth understanding of 401K plan administration, including legal and regulatory requirements (ERISA, IRS, DOL).
Familiarity with retirement plan record-keeping and reporting systems.
Knowledge of investment options available through 401K plans and the ability to assess their suitability for participants. Key Competencies :
Leadership : Ability to manage, advise, and guide employees regarding retirement planning decisions.
Problem Solving : Strong ability to resolve issues related to plan administration and compliance.
Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in explaining complex concepts in a simple and understandable manner.
Attention to Detail : Must be detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in reporting, compliance, and plan administration.
Collaboration : Work well with other teams, including HR, Finance, and external vendors, to achieve the goals of the 401K plan. Additional Information :
