Job Overview :
Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract AP / AR Specialist on behalf of our client, a company specializing in the transportation, delivery, and assembly of furniture, appliances, and artwork for B2B and home delivery clients. This role is critical to ensuring seamless financial operations within a fast-growing organization in the transportation and logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have proven accounting experience and expertise in QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide accounting and clerical support to maintain accurate financial records.
Prepare and maintain accounting documents, records, and reports.
Process bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
Enter key financial data into databases.
Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation discrepancies.
Compile activity reports and summaries.
Ensure compliance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws.
Assist with payroll processing.
Continuously update accounting knowledge to align with best practices. Requirements Include :
Education :
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree in Accounting or relevant certification preferred. Experience :
2 years of experience with QuickBooks (required).
2 years of experience with Excel (required).
Previous experience in accounts payable or accounts receivable roles preferred. Skills :
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, MS Office, and Excel.
Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reporting.
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong aptitude for numbers and financial data analysis.
Well-organized and able to manage filing and record-keeping tasks.
Data entry and word processing skills. Certifications :
Relevant certifications in bookkeeping or accounting are a plus. Knowledge :
Familiarity with standard accounting practices and procedures.
Bi-lingual proficiency is a strong advantage. Key Competencies :
