What are the responsibilities and job description for the Control System Design Engineer position at search-tactics?
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret project mechanical, plumbing, and electrical plans, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), specifications, and customer requirements.
Produce comprehensive design packages using AutoCAD, EPLAN, and Microsoft Office Suite, including :
Panel layout and design drawings.
System wiring diagrams.
Equipment schematics and P&IDs.
Network layout and wiring diagrams.
Instrumentation and panel location drawings.
Material selection, tagging, and creation of a Bill of Materials / Instrument List.
Device and equipment schedules.
Startup sheet development.
Provide technical support to the project field team, ensuring successful implementation and troubleshooting of designs.
Qualifications
Required Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
Degree may be offset by 3 years of previous experience in a similar industry.
Proficiency with AutoCAD software.
Understanding of HVAC systems.
Knowledge of low voltage systems and electrical theory.
Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and P&IDs.
Familiarity with different PLC hardware, including Rockwell and Siemens.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive influence and ability to work on a team or independently as a self-starter.
Capability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication skills.
Preferred Experience :
Experience with Bluebeam software.
Experience with EPLAN software.
Knowledge of control sensor and device selection, including valves and dampers.
