Key Responsibilities :
Define and document clear functional requirements for FPGA implementations.
Design, simulate, and implement comprehensive FPGA-based digital signal processing solutions, focusing on baseband signal processing.
Develop FPGA-based circuit card assemblies using effective schematic capture techniques.
Build and rigorously test hardware prototypes employing tools like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
Coordinate and define essential software tasks related to hardware-software interfaces within FPGA-based circuit card assemblies.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with over 8 years of relevant experience.
Strong proficiency in Xilinx FPGA design flows, particularly with ISE and Vivado, alongside VHDL design expertise.
Extensive experience with FPGA design processes, including simulation, synthesis, implementation, and achieving timing closure.
Hands-on experience with Xilinx 7 series devices is essential.
Expertise in implementing real-time DSP on FPGAs, including filters, sample rate conversion, NCO, Hilbert transforms, FFT, and waveform generation.
Knowledge of FPGA hardware interfaces for RF sampling and waveform generation using A / D and D / A converters is critical.
Experience with high-speed memory and bus interfaces such as PCIe and DDR3 in FPGA designs.
In-depth understanding of hardware-software interaction, particularly with Linux host / PCIe endpoints.
Active DoD-issued Secret clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with RF system design, especially in high-power or high-speed communication transmissions.
Proficiency in MATLAB / Simulink modeling for signal processing systems, with the capability to translate high-level models into pragmatic FPGA implementations.
Proficiency in high-level programming (C) for developing straightforward software applications for FPGA testing in a Linux environment.
