JOB TITLE : Middle School Science Teacher (Anticipated 8th grade) (1.0 FTE)
REPORTS TO : Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY :
To provide education services to students in a classroom setting. The teacher is responsible for student academic achievement, including instruction and maintaining student discipline. Full job description available upon request.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's Degree or higher.
- Hold or be eligible for Oregon Teaching Certification with Middle School Level authorization and endorsements in middle school science.
- Ability to establish positive working relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Willingness to work with extra-curricular activities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Starts Fall 2025 pending board approval of the 2025-2026 budget. 190-Day Contract at 1.0 FTE. Based on current SEA salary schedule and negotiated agreement, $50,073-$101,649 annually, with excellent benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance and Oregon state retirement. Paid time off includes one sick day per month worked and three personal days, pro-rated per school year. Benefit information can be found at Open until filled.
