Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Director to lead and oversee our Utah team of clinical therapists. This role requires strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills to ensure high-quality clinical services, provide mentorship, and maintain operational efficiency within our practice. The Clinical Director will play a vital role in training practicum students from the University of Utah, supervising associate clinicians, and ensuring caseload expectations are met. This is an in-person position, requiring a minimum of 15-20 hours per week on-site at our office in Murray, UT
Qualifications:
- Must be at least two (2) years post-licensure as one of the following:
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
- Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
- Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology (PhD)
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience managing a team of therapists.
- Experience in providing clinical supervision and training to students and associate clinicians.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and best clinical practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with external providers, university programs, and community resources.
- Organizational and administrative skills to oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance with practice standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Supervision & Training:
- Oversee the Utah team of clinical therapists, providing guidance, support, and leadership.
- Provide 1:1 supervision to University of Utah practicum students to ensure competency and professional development.
- Conduct a weekly 2-hour clinical training for the student training program.
- Supervise six (6) associate clinicians, providing mentorship and case consultation.
- Perform biannual performance evaluations for practicum students and clinical team members.
- Ensure all clinicians meet caseload expectations and uphold high-quality clinical care standards.
Clinical & Administrative Duties:
- Maintain a personal caseload of 15-20 clients per week.
- Monitor clinical documentation and adherence to ethical and legal guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a positive work environment for all staff.
- Oversee the physical office space, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment.
- Address clinical and operational concerns promptly and effectively.
- Interview potential candidates to work at Meridian Counseling, ensuring alignment with practice values and standards.
Community & Professional Collaboration:
- Build relationships with other mental health providers, university programs, and community organizations to foster collaboration and referral networks.
- Work closely with the University of Utah and other institutions to support practicum and internship programs.
- Attend networking events, conferences, and professional development opportunities to represent and promote Meridian Counseling in the mental health community.
Work Schedule & Expectations:
- Full-time position, with a flexible schedule to meet supervisory, clinical, and administrative needs.
- Minimum of 15-20 hours in-person per week at our Murray, UT office.
- Ability to work with clients and supervisees in both individual and group settings.
- Participation in team meetings and other practice-related activities as needed.
