Opportunity Description Seattle Colleges is looking to hire a Student Re-Entry Intern in the Seattle Promise department at North Seattle College. Salary Range for this position is $45,760 annually ($22.00/hour). Application and required materials must be submitted no later than 12:00 PM PST, March 16th, 2025. Position Summary Under the supervision of the North Seattle College Director for Student Retention, the Student Re-Entry Intern will be responsible for for supporting eligible, former Seattle Promise students to re-enter the Seattle Promise program at the Seattle College of the student's choosing: North, Central, or South Seattle College. This position will support students directly to understand their college re-entry options and assist them with defining next steps. The intern will actively follow-up with students to ensure they're making progress toward re-entry. The position is geared toward current graduate students who have an interest in academic advising. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities This position is part-time, working 10-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between normal business hours of 8am-5pm. The position is expected to work at least two days per week on campus, and remaining days may be on campus or telecommute at supervisor's discretion. Interns must provide their own computer and internet access for telecommute options. The term of employment for this internship is April 1 through September 19, 2025. The department is open to a later start date for applicants who need to begin after April 1 and final start date will be negotiated upon offer of the position. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas. What you will be working on: Complete FERPA training through Seattle Colleges. Attend weekly re-entry check-ins with supervisor to define weekly priorities, seek feedback and direction, and provide re-entry caseload updates. Proactively reach out to re-entry eligible students to make them aware of their options. Provide 1:1 and/or group support to students who are ready to re-enter the Seattle Promise program. Assist in developing a student-facing checklist for all re-entry students to use and follow. Professionally represent the Seattle Colleges. Work closely with Seattle Promise Retention Specialists, Office of Financial Aid, and Cashiering Offices to help students work through any re-entry barriers. Attend Seattle Promise staff meetings as needed. Keep detailed student interaction notes in Starfish. Learn to navigate the Seattle Colleges student management systems, including ctcLink, Aorus, and Starfish. What you bring as a candidate: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience) Current graduate student in good academic standing with the University who plans to enter higher education as a profession. Available to work on-campus at least 10 hours per week (may work up to 10 hours per week remotely if individual provides their own computer and internet access). Strong organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. Ability to support others with learning and personal development.
