Opportunity Description
South Seattle College is looking to hire a Program Specialist 3 in the Continuing Education Department.
Salary Range for this position is $ $59,724.00 to $78,456.00 annually (DOE)

Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Continuing Education, the Program Specialist 3 will be responsible for Professional Development, Personal Enrichment and Online Learning programs. The overall responsibility of the position is to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of these programs in a manner that results in a high-quality educational experience for students. This position is self-support and the funding for this position is generated through self-support revenue.
This position is Full-time, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, primarily between the hours of 8AM and 5PM, with evening and weekend hours as needed for classes.
This position works a hybrid schedule of both remote and on-site work.
This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement with representation by WFSE and is subject to union shop provisions

What you will be working on:
- Create and oversee courses in Program Development, Personal Enrichment, Professional Development and Online Learning.
- Develop criteria and research strategies for determining program needs; develop strategies to grow the program based on needs of the community and the college.
- Stay abreast of campus and district-based program offerings, policies, and procedure; research external program offerings to help identify programming needs.
- Develop a course creation or update plan for the development of new courses or the updating of existing courses.
- Identify and recruit qualified subject matter experts to develop or update courses in alignment.
- Evaluate all courses to ensure high quality programming.
- Manage registration for Continuing Education courses in ctcLink, CampusCE and with our online learning partners; troubleshoot enrollment issues, add/drop, grades and cashiering problems; process examination requests.
- Provide administrative and technical support via phone, email, and face-to-face communication.
