Preschool Teachers are responsible for:
Administrative Responsibilities:
- Regularly meets with Lead Teacher and applies feedback received
- Handles library books
- Keeps classroom, office and storage area in order
- Continues education by taking advantage of educational opportunities
Classroom Responsibilities:
- Follows Seattle Preschool's & Seattle Gymnastics Academy's Mission, Vision and Values
- Supports classroom as directed
- Prepares classroom for daily operations
- Interacts positively with children and parents
- Confidently operates away from supervision
- Follows curriculum and contributes ideas for curriculum
- Notifies Preschool Director when equipment and supplies are needed
- Participates in SGA University (annual staff-wide training event)
- Cleans facility as assigned
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We are looking for:
- Current CPR/First Aid on file
- Pursuing Early Childhood Education (ECE) as a career
- STARS basic training credits or equivalent on file
- Attendance of a Preschool conference of Preschool Director’s choice within 1 year of hire
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to sit/stand for extended periods of time
- Good manipulation skills to operate computers and office equipment or perform training
- Hand-eye coordination
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- The ability to walk on uneven surfaces as is deemed necessary to walk out onto the gymnastics floor
