Position Summary:

The People and Culture (PaC) Manager will focus on talent acquisition efforts and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) administration to ensure seamless HR & Payroll operations. This role will drive recruitment strategies, optimize HR technology, ensure data integrity, and refine onboarding for an exceptional new hire experience. The PaC Manager will partner with leadership to align hiring initiatives with business goals while maintaining compliance and reporting accuracy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle recruiting for full and part time roles for the Seattle Kraken and Kraken Community Iceplex.
    • Conduct intake meetings with managers and guide them through the hiring process.
    • Assist with sourcing and interview scheduling, as needed.
    • Draft offer letters and support managers throughout the offer process.
    • Process background checks and escalate, as needed.
  • Oversee fellowship/internship program, including recruitment, onboarding, and professional development opportunities.
  • Lead new hire orientations and onboarding process.
  • Manage administrative items for offboarding such as creating separation letters, submitting details to COBRA administrator, and collecting company property.
  • Drive HRIS implementation, updates, and maintenance.
    • Process all new hires, transfers, promotions, role changes, and separations.
    • Maintain employee records ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through continuous audit and review.
    • Serve as the point person for HR audits, metrics, and reporting.
    • Create and manage internal HR forms, files, documents, and compliance requirements.
  • Complete all verifications of employment and unemployment claims.

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5 years of proven HR experience with a focus on talent acquisition and HRIS management.
  • Tech savvy, solution-focused, self-driven, resourceful, and collaborative.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail, accuracy in work product, and focus on service.
  • A high degree of personal integrity, sound judgement in decision-making, discretion with confidential matters & sensitive information, and consistently puts the interests of the organization first.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with UKG is a plus.
  • Current or previous sports, entertainment, and/or hospitality industry experience.

Total Rewards Package:

  • Compensation:
    • In accordance with Washington’s Equal Pay and Opportunity Act, the anticipated starting salary for this role is $80k. The full salary band for this level is $80k - $90k. Actual base pay will depend on employee’s experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Working Conditions:

  • This role is based on-site in our Seattle office and requires work to be performed in person. However, we do value flexibility as the business will allow and offer occasional opportunities to work from home.
  • Minimal Travel (<10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays.
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs.
