Location: Mercer Island, WA
Ideal Start Date: April 2025
Schedule: Rotating schedule every other week:
Week A: Mondays optional (would involve household assisting only if nanny wants these hours), Wednesday 3-6 and Thursday 10-6, and Friday 10-6p
Week B: Monday 10-4p, Wednesday 3-6p, Thursday 10-6p and Friday is optional.
**To note, the schedule can change between the summer and school year if the nanny would like, but if you would like similar hours, the role would be more assisting-centric during the school year vs. childcare-centric during the summer.
Children: Three boys ages 7, 10, 12
Compensation: $30-35/hr depending on experience and qualifications, with guaranteed hours, accrued sick time, paid time off, mileage reimbursement for any driving in the nanny’s vehicle while on the job.
- Commitment: One year minimum commitment is required, but even longer term would be ideal
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Meet the Family:
This family of four is seeking a fantastic nanny to become a part of their team! Mom is looking to partner with someone to provide a mix of childcare and light household help. The boys are busy and full of energy. The biggest goal is to get them outside and on adventures this summer. The 12 year old is into baseball, his guitar, and his computer. Overall he’s fairly independent and even cooks his own food. The 10 year old loves Harry Potter, video games, wrestling, and theater. The 7 year old is a nice mix of his brothers and loves baseball, wrestling, video games, and Harry Potter.
Mom has two businesses and works from home in an office space separate from the main living area with occasional meetings outside of the home.
The Job Description:
The nanny will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing and loving environment for their child while helping the family maintain the smooth functioning of their home.
Job duties will include:
- Communicating with mom weekly regarding children’s schedules and household to-do list
- Children’s meal-prep, packing lunches and snacks.
- Facilitating and engaging in age appropriate developmental, educational activities, and physical play
- Support with school related activities/homework
- School drop-off/pick-up and transporting to and from activities/lessons
- Help with organizational projects, such as fridge and closets
- Grocery Shopping, light errands while out such as library drop-off and/or dry cleaning
- Children’s laundry
- Tidying any spaces used throughout the day
Nanny Attributes/Qualifications/Requirements:
Their ideal candidate is responsible, proactive, and organized. Being flexible and having strong communication skills are also important to them, as well as being punctual and reliable. The family is looking for someone who is ideally interested in a long-standing relationship.
The nanny must have a valid Driver's License, clean driving record, and a safe/reliable vehicle for use on the job. They should also have a current CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to update asap).

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
